Der erste richtige Roadtrip mit den Mädels. Keine zwei Stunden von Sydney entfernt, befindet sich der Royal National Park. WOW! Wunderschön, überall grün soweit das aufge reicht und zum größten Teil auch am Wasserstein gelegen. Die Fahrt durch den Park war atemberaubend.
Von einem der Parkplätze aus sind wir eineinhalb Stunden zu dem 8 Pool gelaufen. Zum Weg: der Anfang führt durch einen Wald, dann geht es am Strand entlang und über Steine und Felse zum 8 Pool. Dort angekommen mussten wir allerdings erst einmal nachfragen, wo sich denn nun der 8 Pool befindet. Die Leute zeigten mit dem Finger hinter uns, wir mussten zweimal schauen, da wir ihn als nicht finden bzw. sehen konnten. Wir waren leicht enttäuscht, er warrecht klein, auf Bildern erschien er viel größer.
Das hat uns natürlich nicht daran gehindert gleich mal reinzuspringen. BRRRRRR, war das kalt. Für unsere coolen Unterwasserbilder und -videos hat es sich aber definitiv gelohnt und der Pool an sich war der Roadtrip auch Wert.
Aber lasst Euch doch einfach selbst davon überzeugen. ;-)
The first real road trip with the girls. Not even 2 hours from Sydney (still part of Sydney) is the Royal National Park. WOW! How beautiful, green as far as the eyes reach and most of it is right at the sea. The drive through the park has been already breathtaking.
From the car park we had to hike another 1 1/2 hours to get to the 8 pool. The hike: through the forest, along the beach and climbing some rocks. Not bad at all, but careful with the rocks they were quite slippery and sometimes kinda hard to challenge. Anyway, by the time we got there we had to ask a few people where the 8 pool is. The just pointed with their hands behind us, we had to look twice because we haven't seen it at first sight. We were a little bit disappointed, we thought it would be much bigger (that's how it looked like on all the pics we have seen).
But that didn't stop us jumping into it. BRRRRRR, FREEZING COLD. But worth it for all our underwater pictures, videos and the entire road trip.
But convince yourselves. ;-)
